Moderation Policy

How HiLink reviews reports, takes action, and keeps the community safe.

Our Approach

HiLink uses a combination of user reporting, human moderation, and automated pattern detection to keep the platform safe. We do not rely solely on automation — every significant report is reviewed by a trained human moderator.

How Reports Are Handled

User Submits Report

A report is filed in-app during or after a call. The report includes the reason category (harassment, nudity, scam, minor safety, other) and optional details.

Automated Triage

High-severity categories (minor safety, nudity) are automatically escalated for priority human review. Other reports are queued by severity.

Human Review

A moderator reviews call metadata, prior reports on the reported user, and the complaint details. Call content is not recorded or reviewed — HiLink does not store call audio or video.

Decision & Action

Moderators issue warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans based on severity. The reporting user is notified of the outcome.

Appeal

Banned users may appeal within 7 days by emailing support@hi-app.in. Minor safety violations are not eligible for appeal.

Enforcement Actions

Warning

First-time minor violations. User is notified and reminded of community guidelines.

Temporary Suspension

Repeated or moderate violations. Account suspended for 7–30 days.

🚫

Permanent Ban

Severe violations including minor safety, repeated nudity, or fraud. No appeal for minor safety cases.

Transparency

We publish monthly transparency reports covering complaints received, actions taken, and category breakdowns. These reports are publicly available at /transparency.
