Are calls monitored?

hi-app does not actively listen to or record private calls. All calls are end-to-end encrypted, meaning only the participants can access the conversation. However, if a call is flagged and reported by a user, our moderation team may review relevant metadata (such as report details and timestamps) to take appropriate action. We use automated systems to detect patterns of abuse without accessing the content of encrypted calls.

Is nudity banned?

Yes, absolutely. Nudity, sexual acts, and sexually suggestive content are strictly prohibited on hi-app — in both voice and video calls. This is a zero-tolerance policy. Any user found sharing or requesting explicit content is immediately and permanently banned. We maintain this standard to ensure hi-app remains a safe, respectful space for everyone, especially women and younger adults.

Can screenshots happen?

hi-app prohibits taking screenshots or screen recordings during calls as part of our Community Guidelines. Taking screenshots or recording another user's video or voice session without their consent is a serious violation and can result in an immediate permanent ban. We strongly encourage users to report anyone who attempts to capture or distribute call content. If you discover your image has been captured and shared without consent, contact us immediately at support@hi-app.in.

Is recording prohibited?

Yes. Recording any call on hi-app — whether through in-app tools, third-party screen recorders, or external devices — is strictly prohibited without the explicit consent of all participants. hi-app itself does not record or store call content. Users who record and distribute calls without consent are subject to immediate account termination and may face legal consequences under applicable privacy laws in India.

Are fake profiles removed?

Yes. hi-app actively detects and removes fake, impersonation, and bot accounts. All mentor (host) accounts go through manual ID verification before they can go live. Regular users are monitored by automated systems and reviewed by our moderation team when reported. If you encounter a profile that appears fake, uses someone else's identity, or behaves like a bot, please report it immediately using the in-app report button. We typically action such reports within 24 hours.
